Constant Problem with Flat Tyres

My front left tyre is always deflating and I’m constantly having to pump it up. Been going on a few years despite getting new tyres. I had the car Mot’d and serviced a couple of weeks ago, got two new tyres fitted including the front left and within 2 days and very few miles, the light was on again and it had low pressure. Now I’m back to pumping it up all the time.

What’s going on? Is the garage I’m taking it to doing a shoddy job or could there be a problem with the wheel or alloy that keeps causing it? If there was something causing damage to the tyre then that should flag up on the MOT surely?

Anyways, I’m sick of pumping it up and want the fucker fixed properly. Where can I take it? 😆

Leaky/damaged valve maybe?

I had a similar issue with my front right a few months ago, took it to tyrespot in concord and they supplied and fitted a new valve for £20.

Had the same problem. The alloy will be corroded. They can try and grind it off but if that doesn't work you need to get them refurbished to get a seal.

You can test for it by rubbing fairy liquid round the edge of the rim. If there's air escaping bubbles should appear.
This/\ /\
If you've got shitty corroded alloys. Refurb would be the way to go

Neighbour has found out you’re pumping his missus. He’s decided to give you a bit more pumping to do cos you’re such a fan of it.

I’ll try get them properly checked out this week then cheers 👍

Last night the Guns 'N' Roses tour bus got a flat tyre and had to be jacked up for repair.

It's axle rose.
A Space Hopper joke on one of my threads. I feel honoured.

Ironically, the geezer that changed the wheel was called Jack McCarrup.

As metioned more than likely alloys, there is a lad behind plains farm club - if your near who i'd recommend Tones Tyres who will check the rim (s) and probably be able to tell you if its the alloys or whatever.

I had this issue and it was the valve, the place I took it to put the wrong valve in, it was designed for steel wheels not for allys with sensors in

As most have said, it's probably alloys but it could be the valve. I once changed a valve without removing the tyre. Absolutely no idea why I didn't take it to the garage but it was right chew on.

I’d be amazed if it was the valve. It must be a pretty scruffy garage that puts the old valve back in after you buy new tyres.

Almost certainly going to be the wheel. Whether that is corroded or cracked.

Are they genuine wheels? If not then they could be cracked.

Is it a Japanese car? Is so then it’ll be corroded
