Where has this rumour come from? The person on the board who was at the meeting didn’t witness it.
It’s not a rumour, it has happened. I know someone who has been at these fan/club meetings and witnessed this hero worship first hand.

You don’t go along to what is in essance a business meeting and ask for autographs.

This is football, not a meeting with a bank manager, people can ask for autographs.

Some of these people live and breath SAFC and are very excited at being given the opportunity to be involved.

They are the fans that will still be there on a wet and windy Tuesday night in league 1 home and away, the backbone of our support.

If we had 40 odd thousand fans like them we might get a couple more points on the board

Time and a place. If they’re so excitable and star struck they shouldn’t be in such meetings.

Not the RAWA meeting then some others in the past?
Might have happened at the RAWA meeting as well.

General point being made as to whether such people should participate. At this juncture I’m all for the fans to publically state they won’t meet with the club until the club takes these meetings seriously. The lack of any meaningful actions resulting from them suggest to me that the club sees this as a tick box exercise.

Others have their own opinions.

The rep said he didn’t see anything at the RAWA meeting.
I think they at least deserve a chance to get some dialogue going, can only be good for both sides tbh. Don’t understand why the club wouldn’t want the same thing.

We could talk about it all day but tbh I’m all for heaping as much pressure on Bain as possible and trying to oust him. Part of that would be the fans informing the club publically that no fan groups are meeting with the club for the foreseeable future. Certainly after bains antics at the first RAWA meeting I think Bain owes RAWA an apology. Be interesting too see if he goes on like a bellend at the next meeting.

What did he do at the first meeting that was so out of order?

Not sure what anyone would gain by refusing to meet, surely that’s the exact opposite of what we want? Don’t see how that would put pressure on him.

Each to there own.
What would you rather have guarding your house? An excitable puppy or an adult German Shepherd?
Exactly, each to their own is what we should remember here.

If that’s what’s going on, who are any of us to say it should be different?

Read the minutes for yourself. The bloke took the f***ing piss warbling on about safc’s Database being bigger than RAWAs and questioning their legitimacy.

As for meeting with the club; for what? Zero comes out of these meetings anyway so I don’t see the point. We’ve had 20 odd years of these meetings and I couldn’t name you anything meaningful that’s ever come out of them.

Again we can agree to disagree.

It’s hard to explain.
If you knew the people in question you’d probably feel different but I have to be diplomatic.

Anyway I’m off to bed.
Nowts gonna change with these meetings

Using the Alsatian and the puppy analogy again

Bain is the puppy

Short is the Alsatian

The puppy won’t tell the Alsatian anything the Alsatian doesn’t want to hear

And if the puppy hears something it doesn’t like it’ll run away
