I was in Otto Cafe Stockton Road yesterday it was quality as usual.
Been in quite a bit lately waiting for the boy whilst he is in the Bunker, lovely place and always a nice atmosphere.

BTW , it may be outside your normal radius of ‘haunts’ but have you been to or heard anything about a new pub in Cleadon, the Raven?

Amy decent dog friendly ones?
Appreciate that. I stay at my sisters ( in Cleadon ) when back and only coffee shop is one next to pharmacy.Seems when it first opened i heard a few people disappointed with the beer selections, a bit mainstream rather than craft ale micro pub. Looking at their socials though they do seem to offer a decent range. Seen Full Circle, Wylam, Fierce and Vaux mentioned.
I'd suggest asking in the craft beer thread or if you have any other questions on craft beer drop me a Pm.
Back on topic I also like Biz R in terms of feel, friendliness etc but, as with most coffee shops, I find the coffee a little blander than for my tastes, but I do like strong dark coffees

Cleadon is a lovely little spot but it doesn’t sit quite right with me for boozing being an ex Fulwell suburb drinker. Silly really

It’s ok but when it’s busy you feel a bit squashed in the place. I still think The Stables is much better. Again if you can get a seat! Thanks. My nephew brought it my attention just wondering if any fellow posters had any opinions..good or bad

Whenever I have walked by rarely anyone in during the day and certainly not drinking coffee. Pubwise it attracts a few. Also I like my comfy seats when I have a coffee ( pathetic as that may sound ) and it seems to lack thoseI know a few people who like The Stables (i think that's what its called) in Cleadon.
