Coffee shops in Sunderland

That's right
I am sure that the fella who owned that for a while just kept trying different styles to make a success but it never came off. Italian, Arab/Turkish, Egyptian. He used to live in the big Charles church houses on bone mill Lane past the north biddick club. Every revamp saw an update wrap job on his work van outside the house. Not for the want of trying but never seemed busy.

You won’t regret it, good description actually it is a little gem.

I see Shahi Chai in Chester Road must be doing well its extending its premises and knocking into the former Chester Heel Bar.

Good thread this. Last time I was back I went to a place my sister suggested in Cleadon, near Romanos ( forget the name )
What a pile of guano. 4 quid and it was one of those automatic machines you just stick the cup under.
Back again at Xmas so will look up some of the places suggested on this thread
I did try the place ( forget the name again Soz) in the Bridges) just as you walk into the center. Quite a big cafe as it happens. Coffee so so but lovely comfy chairs and you can watch the ‘wild life’ outside as they go about their day
