Club are looking to extend the stadium

You’re just a knob for the sake of it aren’t you ?! You telling me if we increase the stadium it won’t look daft because we can’t even fill the one we halve ?
I haven't once on this thread suggest we should increase the stadium.

"We can't even fill the one we have"
Answer me this which clubs would get 48k in our position?

Your point is invalid. Doesn’t matter what clubs do what. We won’t fill a bigger stadium.

I didn't mention a bigger stadium.

You're having a dig saying we can't fill our stadium.
Are you a mag?

You’re commenting on a thread about extending the stadium ffs !!

I am not having a dig, I’m just not deluded. We get amazing attendances for our position but it’s a fact, we can’t fill the ground we have so extending is just daft

Probably already been covered in the long thread, but I think I’d rather money allocated towards the stadium would be best spent on giving it a good clean and improving the concourses and toilets.

An extension isn’t needed. If we were selling out every week I’d understand but that seems a long way off.

Agree extending it is daft but we can fill our ground and have on many occasions.(despite the absolute garbage we've had to put up with)

When was the last time we filled our stadium ? It’s not a dig, it’s just facts. We get amazing crowds considering we’ve been awful for years but at this moment in time we aren’t even close to filling the ground. It would take promotion to bring back the “glory supporters” who are there just to watch premier league football.

Our last 6 completed seasons we've been relegated twice and spent 4 in league one ffs.

Of course we're not selling out, nee fucker else would under those circumstances.

People are getting a bit angry on here for what is a bit of a fun thread. I don't understand the problem with having a big ground that you cannot fill. Loads of continental clubs just close off sections of the ground, so the bottom level fills first. You know, like what we have been doing this season. It's not a big problem.

It will dilute the atmosphere even more and will never be used. Its incredible some think it is genuinely a good idea.

How will it dilute the atmosphere if you fill the lower bowl first? Of course it'll get used. If we go up I reckon we'll get over 50 thousand for mags, lpool, man u at least.

We don't want the SoL to fall behind as one of this country's best and largest Stadiums.

In addition, the mags are looking to expand St. James' Park further.

If it becomes a full bowl shape I'm very concerned we could lose the concerts.
Unfortunately with the Saudi blood money the mags are sniffing trophie, with some readonable expectation, and thus could fill it. At the minute all we've got is the hope we might make a stronger push for promotion next season..

I don't agree. It'll be mid 40s but the mags will sell out as it is now.

You have to factor in probably another hike in prices if we go up and over £40 for a single ticket on a match by match basis.

The clubs ambition is to be a Brentford or Brighton. That's not going to sell out a 60k stadium.

Its laughable that people suggest it.

Too many Peterlee/Durham/BA/Washy/Hartlepool/Darlo Mags etc arriving on planet earth.Dont folks knar it's 1992 again?

Over 40 quid a ticket, where are you getting that from?
