Club are looking to extend the stadium

This, since the ground was extended the highest we've finished is 10th.
We've been relegated 4 times (twice with record low points), (back to back relegations)
We often wouldn't win a game until October.
We once went a full year without a home win.
We've struggled in league one for 4 years.
Lost any decent players we've had and largely replaced them with lower league shite.
We're currently sitting in the dizzy heights of 11-12th in the championship.

Despite all of the above we are still averaging 38k and can draw crouds in excess of 40k.

Our grounds not to big for us, give us a successful SAFC and it would be to small.
Nailed it. Build it and they will come. The mags would be spitting feathers anarl.

Whilst I usually hate this excuse as I think as a football club we should be able to focus on more than one issue at a time I do agree with it here. A football stadium extension is a massive plan and it’s just not needed.
I used to think your avatar was Gordon Brittas but now I have looked more closely isn't it Christopher Moltisante?

Your entitled to your opinion and ive go mine - I havent called our support but I have compared it to Newcastle as what you have concluded to as taking the piss....how? There is no disputing that over the years from the SOL opening it has been erratic but when we get a glimmer of momentum the numbers stay high end thats a fact. Just when we are on our knees in the champo where was everyone? 27,000 average - yes the football and club was toxic but wheres the loyalty? I still go? thats what im on about...loyalty is shown though all times but some people dont - plain and simple

People have different reasons for not going and thats fine but there is always so many paople patting themselves on the back for 40000+ attendances in the second tier which is great but we must stop self congratulating ourselves for attending the games by clapping when the attendence gets read out, our support is good bordering on great but not outstanding

Look - This is about the here and now and we are on the up so we just need to look forward

So how can you say they’re more loyal than us?

They haven’t been through half the shite we have.

It’s a ludicrous opinion.

Aye but they never shut the gates, just crammed more and more in. Stood on each others toes and p*ssed in each others pockets.
They shut the gates when we got promoted against West Ham. I only know cos I was in the Roker end, and my dad couldn't get in the Fulwell.

Increasing the amount of tickets away fans receive would help fill an extended SOL.
Man City,Leeds,Man Utd,Liverpool and the scouse mags would bring 10,000.They’d pick out our game as the game where tickets would be in abundance, giving fans who cannot get tickets normally,a chance to follow their team once a season.Tottenham,Arsenal,Chelsea and Villa would bring an extra few thousand. We’d soon get our money back .

If the thought of focussing just as much as concerts as football then to get the most in for the concerts the expansion would go on the East stand with the stage always set up at the South
An extended East stand - a mirror image of the West stand - would also generate more match day revenue. Seats, corporate, and boxes along the side of the pitch rather than the end.

Surely they are just putting things in place for the future etc so when are back in the Prem the paperwork will be in place? We have a more long term approach these days…
