Is there not an email or text option rather than the app? Guessing it’s that NHS one which I agree is a bit of a hassle
Just getting a text or email from NHS was an option for Edgbaston and for the Wembley game I’m going to on Saturday. Talk about jumping through hoops!IMPORTANT MATCH ATTENDANCE INFORMATION PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW
Durham Cricket is pleased to confirm details of the upcoming men’s England Royal London One-Day International against Sri Lanka at Emirates Riverside, which will be staged as a part of the Government’s Event Research Programme (ERP).
We know how much fans have looked forward to returning to watch our men’s world champions and it is our priority to ensure everyone enjoys the match in a safe and secure way.
Your ticket is in the post and on the way to you but there are some important steps you will need to take now, and be prepared to follow on the day, to play your part in a memorable day out.
COVID-19 PASS
Because the match is a part of the science-led Event Research Programme all ticket holders will need to demonstrate their COVID-19 status when entering this event.
You can do this quickly and simply by using the NHS COVID Pass. It is important that you start planning how you will confirm your Covid status now by reading the below information.
:: How do I access the NHS COVID Pass to use on entry?
You can do this by downloading the NHS App onto your smartphone – please note this is different to the NHS COVID-19 App.
The NHS COVID Pass is available on the NHS app – click on ‘Get Your NHS Covid Pass’ when you enter the app.
This will allow you to show your vaccination or lateral flow test status as you enter the venue.
Alternatively, you can download and show an offline version or print a copy of your status and show the printed version instead.
If you don’t have access to a computer or smartphone, then you can order a copy of the NHS COVID Pass letter if you have been vaccinated by telephoning 119. Please note that the letter can take up to 5 working days to reach you.
:: What do I need to do to ensure my NHS COVID Pass allows me entry?
If you have had both vaccinations (first and second dose) and your second dose was at least 14 days ago then the COVID Pass will allow you entry.
If you have proof of a negative lateral flow test, which must have been taken within 48 hours of attending the event (and only for people aged over 11). This can be displayed via SMS text, email or in the app. We would encourage people to attend a testing centre to help with the correct method of taking a lateral flow test.
To get information on the NHS COVID Pass, and how you can have it ready in time for your visit, please follow this link:You must be logged on to see external links
PERSONAL DETAILS AND CONSENT
As this is a scientific study and within the venue current Covid legislation will be disapplied, a condition of entry for all attendees is to provide their personal details and consent to taking part in the Events Research Programme.
As the ticket purchaser you must ensure that you and all your group complete the information required, you will receive details of how to submit your information on a separate email in due course.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
· Gates are open from 9am
· Allow plenty of time to get through the gates and into the venue as the process will be slower than usual
· Have your COVID-19 status pass ready and open on your phone or proof in your hand
· Have your ticket ready to show the stewards
All ticket holders will need to provide Covid Pass for entry and that this will enable quick and efficient entry into the ground for everyone.
· Ticket-holders travelling to the event are advised to follow the Department for Transport’s Safer Travel guidance, link:You must be logged on to see external links
WHILE YOU ARE AT THE VENUE
· Please wear your facemask whilst moving around the venue
· Follow signs and stewards for flow around stadium
· You have an allocated seat but as there will be a lot of spare seats you are permitted to move to a seat in which you feel more comfortable provided this is not allocated to someone else. The person who has the allocated seat has priority for their seat
· Durham Cricket is joining with other sports in the ‘For The Love Of Sport’ campaign to encourage ticket-holders to behave responsibly when attending international and domestic cricket this summer
WHEN YOU ARE LEAVING
· There will be a controlled staggered exit of the venue. Please follow the instructions on the big screens and given by the match announcer on the day.
We hope that these instructions are clear. If further guidance is required, please contact the ECB England international match information line - 0800 408 4525 (8am-8pm)

You don't need to go to a testing centre. It does say: “If you have proof of a negative lateral flow test, which must have been taken within 48 hours of attending the event (and only for people aged over 11). This can be displayed via SMS text, email or in the app. We would encourage people to attend a testing centre to help with the correct method of taking a lateral flow test.”
You don't need to go to a testing centre.
Use a NHS home test kit. When it's done and (hopefully) shows negative either go to the Gov.uk page to enter test results or follow the instructions on the NHS Covid-19 App on how to enter them, if you have it. You'll get a text and/or an email almost immediately confirming you've input the results.
If you have the normal NHS App, it will show up the next day under the section 'Get Your NHS Covid Pass' which takes you to another section called 'Event Trials'. From there you'll get a scannable barcode or options to download a copy, get a copy by email, or view your Covid-19 records on the App itself.
Doddle.
Enjoy the game, mate.Thanks mate![]()
Did you get the email and/or text?I’ve tried getting a “Covid pass” for a negative test on the app ahead of Wembley on Saturday but nowt has come up. Hope it never ends up being the only option to prove your status as it’s absolutely shite![]()
Aye that bit works fine. But when I go on the app and the Covid pass part it just says “you don’t have a Covid pass”Did you get the email and/or text?
When did you take the test? Mine appeared the next day in the same section that shows my vaccination status.Aye that bit works fine. But when I go on the app and the Covid pass part it just says “you don’t have a Covid pass”
Couple of hours ago. Does say it should appear within a couple of hours mind but perhaps it will be tomorrow! When did you take the test? Mine appeared the next day in the same section that shows my vaccination status.
