Had anyone tried the Aldi brandy one with raisins and candied fruit?

Wilfy isn’t an adventurous cheese fan so I’ve got some emmenthal , cheddar and gruyere and making it with beer , few new potatoes , asparagus spears , prosciutto and bread and should be canny nice

We’ve only done chocolate ones in ours so far , they’re good when the kids are visiting

Stilton a piece of nice crumbly Cheshire, poppy seed crackers. None of this cheese with fruit in for me.

mordon blue.
irish brie.

accompaniments include: radishes, pickled walnuts, various chutneys and artisan cracker selection.

homemade mulled wine.

Popped into the Darlo cheese shop on BE Friday, and also picked up some Isle of Mull. Passed on the Mordon but got some Cotherstone, Colston Bassett Stilton (makes a change from the usual Hartington one), Ogle Shield, and some Morbier (the one with the soot/ash in it). Mam already had some smoked cheese in and what looks like white Wensleydale.

I love fruit and love cheese, but I can't eat them together. I don't eat stuff like lemon chicken either. I have got some Wensleydale though and some bottles of Golden Sheep ale from the Black sheep brewery.

The Weardale cheese is about 30 quid a kilo
