When was November 22nd a big Christmas drinking session?

Had to do the stupid bastard elf on the shelf again this year, a new 'tradition' I can't stand.

Anyway, my daughter turned 9 last month and is in year 4. Was pretty sure she wouldn't believe anymore, particularly with how much she's on the net and that.

However, her little brother has touched the elf today, and the strength of her reaction took me aback. She absolutely screamed at him, then burst into floods of tears. So she's clearly still totally invested.

I love that she is, I want her to be for as long as possible, but that's proper put the shits up me for when she finds out it's all one big lie.

Lovely film. Recently discovered The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant and Holiday Affair with Robert Mitchum, which are good Christmassy b&w films, if you like that sort of thing.

Great recommendation. Finally had time to sit down so picked ‘The Bishop’s Wife’. Well worth it, so thank you @Son of Stan, merry Christmas.
