Chris Rigg

He's had a total 'mare.

I’ve had a mare

Keith your defending that Chris Rigg who’s played a handful of championship games at a good level is comparable to Phil Foden, Messi, Jude and Rooney ffs.
He played for 6 seasons in the Championship 😂

Top clubs not exactly kicking down Derby's door there 😂
Not once did he say there was no interest in Hughes. He correctly did state though that Hughes was still at derby 6 year later

What part of “top clubs not exactly kicking down derbys door”

Whilst I get people saying X player was playing at a higher level at his age; the fact is Rigg can only play against the opposition that we put him in front of and he's battering them atm.

Who's to say he couldn't perform right now in the PL or CL? We don't know, but just because he's breaking out in the Championship doesn't make him a worse player by default.

I personally think that he wouldn't have gotten the chance at a top PL side, yet given how much he's impressed they'll be queuing up come January for fear of losing him to another side.

Well they weren’t exactly kicking down the door when he was still at derby 6 year later. I will put good money on that Rigg won’t be here in 18/24 month time.

I have never said that, that's just your imagination. A bit like your Will Hughes rubbish.

I have merely said that he's still growing so to compare him Rooney and Bellingham who were men at 16 isn't a like for like comparison.

I went on to say Foden played in an easier, less robust position which is easier as a younger, slighter player.

I haven't even mentioned Messi in a post before this one at all.

He didn't get a proper chance in his preferred position with us until the injury to Browne...

Well, I think he will be, with us in the Prem and playing in the Champions League.

True, but say he's sat in City or Chelsea's academy, he still doesn't get a look in.

Oh come on man, the point is at the same age as Rigg the exact same rumours were appearing for Hughes, as shown in that article. It’s no different to city etc being interested in Rigg now as it was when Hughes was Riggs age.

I think Rigg will have a better career than Hughes, I’m not disputing that, all I’m saying is it’s a good comparison to make, at similar ages they were in very similar points in there career with similar interest.

No doubt about it. He may have been put out on loan, ironically in the Championship.

He has 100% made the correct decision. He is at home, in an environment he's used to, playing in the first team and doing remarkably well. A bit too well really as the vultures are taking off as we speak!

I think the point is you made a claim about Hughes that wasn't true.

Regardless though. Rigg is a lot better than Hughes and barring a bad injury he'll have a lot better career than Hughes. That's not to say Hughes is a bad player, we could have done with a player of his quality the last few years.

Why was it not true, he made 35 appearances prior to his injury at a slightly younger age than Rigg?

Not much in it, but wasn’t he ever so slightly younger than Rigg when he had that run of playing 35 games in a row?

He didn't though. Why do you keep doubling down on this?

They just aren't comparable at all.

Rigg has been seen as a generational talent since he was at school. Getting picked for England under 17's at 15 is pretty much unheard of. Scoring against a Premier League at 15 (Ba offside!) again is a once in a generation thing.

He literally had offers on the table from every Premier League side at 17.

He's came into a top of the league side and became it's best player overnight.

It's extraordinary stuff.

But Will Hughes 😂

😂😂😂

“He literally had offers on the table from every premier league side”

How do you know this exactly 😂.

Where is he seen as a generational talent?

You’re generalising massively and are massively biased as per. Your red and white specs have no limits Keith, which is standard for you.
