Chris Rigg

What are you talking about šŸ˜‚

Your trying to justify Chris’s Rigg is a once in a generation talent, justifying him being spoke of in the same breath as Jude, Messi and Rooney and trying to defend that by saying he’s not grown yet so let’s compare him to Phil foden, when that’s rubbished he’s now ā€œin a totally different roleā€ wtaf!!

Just accept your going overboard mate, it’s really not that difficult.
You just don't understand football at all.

Playing wide, as Foden did for City as a kid is a completely different task to playing in centre midfield. As a wide player you tend to be one on one with a full back. Playing CM there is half a dozen players all battling for the same ball. Less time, less space, more competitive. It's a far harder and robust role.

Chris Rigg is playing in the hardest position as a slight 17 year old kid.

I don’t understand football, me? I don’t understand football because I think it’s too soon to compare a 17 year old who’s had a handful of excellent performances at championship level, to Wayne Rooney, Jude Bellingham, Lionel Messi and Phil Foden.

But you are the fountain of knowledge, because you think Rigg will grow and be on their level, based on a handful of Championship games. Right yeah great.

Even that is daft!

Foden who was starting champions league games at Riggs age, that foden? The same Phil Foden who made enough appearances at Chris Riggs age to get a premier league winners medal, that Phil Foden.

A handful of CHAMPIONSHIP games man šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚.
I think that’s a slight unfair on Rigg tbh.

The reason he isn’t playing champions league is because he’s at SAFC. Had he come through the academy of a club that was in there maybe he would get the odd half.

It isn’t unfair mate, it really isn’t, if Man City wanted Rigg he’d be there. Do you honestly think Chris Rigg is good enough to be starting premier league and champions league games currently?

He was 17 and a half. Rigg is just 17. It was an 18 minute cameo. I think it’s fair to say a club like city with all that talent, aye, he’d get 10 minutes.

Personally I think it’s very exciting and I think playing alongside Jobe has (early doors) helped them both.
Very high expectations mate. Foden is one of the best on the planet
I don’t disagree like. Foden is superb.

Rigg LOOKS like he will follow that path.

I’ve not disputed for one second Rigg isn’t an exceptional talent mate.

I’ve praised him numerous times already this season, for his age he is absolutely class and has a very high ceiling.

But seeing him compared to Rooney, Jude, Messi and Foden after a handful of excellent championship performances is far too much too soon.

As a straight comparison I remember Will Hughes being very, very similar at this age, playing in very similar circumstances with all the same mutterings over him. Look where he ended up.

Chris Rigg imo has a very high ceiling and could go to the very top, but currently based on a handful of championship appearances it’s simply too soon to say, and he can’t be compared to the players mentioned.

Rigg basically had the pick of every team in England during the summer.

City, Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and the mags were all in for him. It's literally all over Google.

He made a wise choice to stay here and play. Unfortunately he won't be here long. I hope he's stays the whole season but I'm concerned he won't!

I think a better example of someone falling away is Frannie Jeffers.

It’s fair to say - Rigg has that fire in his belly to not end up like that imo.
I think it's more reasonable to compare him to Miley than Messi.
Yeah mate I wasn’t disputing you at all.
