Chris Mepham

O’Nein was at fault for the goal. He ran out to back Cirkin up when he didn’t need it and left an ocean of space in our box for their goal scorer.

I wouldn’t be against resting him and playing Ballard and Mepham tbh
One of them with O'Nien, which one of the other 2 has pace and is confident bringing the ball out ?
Personally I'd choose Ballard, fresh & hungry
I’m a massive Onien fan but it’s got to be mepham and Ballard next Friday for me

Actually I’ve just watched the replay back on YouTube and this is fair. When I saw it earlier today I didn’t see Jobe in the middle helping out at CB.
He was playing everybody onside and didn’t see the two runners goal side of their man (one of them scored). He ain’t run to them to meet the cross he sat deep and allowed a tonne of space.

Sorry lukey! I still love you 😘
I’ve just watched it back myself & Madsen just strolled through totally unmarked by anyone from virtually the halfway line.

The whole team were firing previously so they all looked excellent. Now we're just a disjointed rabble with no idea how we're meant to play.

I suppose you can blame who you like for the goal but it’s our lack of goals scored what is the biggest problem. We don’t concede an excessive amount of goals & should be able to overturn an early goal conceded from the likes of QPR at home but our inability to break teams down is glaring. Teams can almost take liberties against us as we are so poor when attacking. We have a number of clean sheet specialists in the team but they are all at the wrong end of the pitch.

09 was bullied yesterday for 60 minutes until ballard came on and sorted shit out.

09 is so limited at cb and costs us so many goals.

I think he's a great squad player, love his attitude, but should not be starting every week for a team looking to get in the prem

Isn’t he statistically one of the better centre backs in the league?

Calling him limited is unfair. He has his faults, as does every other centre back we have.

Based on tackles completed i think it was, that doesn't show how many times he loses his man, gets caught ball watching, gives away stupid free kicks, grabs players shirts, scores own goals and stands on the ball for 5 seconds about 10 times a game now for some reason.

We'd be much more solid defensively with Ballard and Mepham.

Going to be up against it on Friday so you play your best defenders. Ballard and Mepham for me.

LON and his passing can come back for the home leg if we haven’t messed up the first one 😂

You need someone better then for his role

Watch the goal back the whole defensive and midfield shape was a disaster.
The lad who scored should have been picked up by midfielders who were all ball watching
This...We are conceding the same type of goals over and over again yet nothing seems to change. Questions need to be asked about the coaching staff...

Mepham is our best defender, by some distance. The problem is that as the season has gone on and we've stopped our press, we're scoring less and facing more attacks. Early in the season he had to tidy up a lot less but he tidied it up well.

Never judge players over a short period. He started off brilliant but hes shown in recent months his actual level and why he had to drop into the championship. He was 5th choice at Bournemouth and id be surprised if he ever gets back to been a regular in the premiership. Hes a decent championship defender nothing more

I honestly thought he took Mepham off to protect him for the first leg( looks like I was wrong ) . It's got to be Mepham and Ballard at cbs.
