Clubs buy potential still. Man Utd with Daniel James, Spurs with Alli and Jack Clarke (£8m and back out on loan), Arsenal signed Martinelli from the Brazilian 3rd division, City Patrick Roberts (hasn’t worked yet mind), Liverpool Gomez and Elliot.

just some examples, Chelsea have done it approximately 12 million times.

So why did no PL clubs buy him for his potential last summer hes only scored 5 goals in France (a pretty poor league) and 3 of those were a recent hattrick

You could make that argument about any transfer surely?

why didn’t someone buy Alli before Spurs? Why didn’t someone go for Ronaldo before Man Utd?

It’s all perception of potential, and that changes as players get older and because views just....well change

Just can't see many if any PL clubs looking at him seriously just yet especially not Chelsea :lol: :lol:
