I know many who are going, a lot who I didn’t think would have bothered.
To a man, not one person cares about the result they just see it as a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness your first team having to play our kids. Is that obsessed ? possibly, although not bothering myself, I do see the attraction in attending.

Why would they be bothered about that though? I honestly couldn't give a shit the situation were reversed. Even if your kids beat us I won't lose sleep over it in a nothing competition. I'd almost be embarrassed if we went on and win the thing tbh.

To boost the atmosphere I think we should show Johnsons goals v them on the bigscreens n on the concourse, on a loop, pre match, half time and afterwards.

The reason is that in basically 135 years of rivalry, a Sunderland first team has never been reduced to having to play a NUFC second string in a competitive game. It’s likely that it may not happen again. As much as I agree it’s a nothing game, to a lot it’s a big pull.
