Just seen the press conference. What a snivelling f***ing weasel Warner is. Not answering any questions properly, repeating the same phrase about accepting responsibility, and desperately trying to conjure up some actual tears to make it seem more convincing.

Just watched Warner's statement this morning - he was very specific in apologising for what happened in the morning of the third day of the second test against South Africa - so only sorry for getting caught. I don't like having my intelligence insulted - I was thinking they were being treated quite harshly but I've changed my mind - quite happy if they never play cricket again. This is doing huge damage to the reputation of a game that I believe is unique in having laws that are mandatory but a spirit that it's meant to be played in.

I thought that as well when I watched it last night - even with a few shandies on board it was obvious to me that he was only apologising for the one specific instance. Completely avoided any questions concerning how long it had actually been going on.

Its the questions he did not answer was the problem for me. All he kept going back to was the 3rd Test last Saturday. The stage managed press conference was all put up.
