Cheating Aussie B******s

I would argue that if the player never walks it is calculated and pre-meditated, and if they are wrongly given not out, it affects every ball thereafter
I think walking or not is different. The umpire is there to make that decision and I don't see a problem with players leaving it up to him in competitive cricket. Fair play to those that do walk, but imho it's harsh to tar those that don't with the same brush as cheats.

DRS should balance it out if a non-walker stands his ground anyway these days. It won't always admittedly, but the same is true if he's wrongly given out.

That's your opinion but I hope they continue to get grief, they deserve it for cheating. They thrive on dishing it out, they aren't getting sympathy off me for cheating

I refer to my previous post

And if he did something stupid you'd be happy then?

Hope he has a good support network that is all I am saying. Its only a game of cricket mate.

I've got zero time for cheats. Hopefully they continue to get the dogs abuse. Crocodile tears don't work for me. He's sorry he got caught, nothing else.
Thats spot on if this was a one off but its been rife in the game for decades especially since they worked out why a ball began to reverse swing. Some of the theories over the years have been barmy but they have still been tampering with the ball.

Yeah it's not the same at all like

There is no doubt that what they did was worse than anything I've heard, but as you say a lot of people try and get away with stuff

They've got the ban, I think a year is too long, but maybe its right considering the culture and sledging they have been doing

But all the personal stuff now is getting a bit much now for me.

They got the ban, leave them be

If you want them to continue to get dogs abuse when they are that distraught then you aren't right in the head to be honest.

Shouldn't be a year, even if it is, time to leave them alone like

Being treated like bloody criminals.
Never said it should be a year but the captain has to take the bigger punishment. By the way I take it you are not "loving it" as you commented on one of your previous entries on this thread.

I absolutely was yeah, particularly for Warner, just saying it all feels uncomfortable now, never thought it would go this far like.

Not allowed to change mind slightly about stuff as it develops like?

They need to be punished as they were an awful, bullying side.

This will do Smith good in the long term.

For me, that is the ultimate humiliation, bans started, humilation over, reputation tarnished, time to let him get on with his life and rebuild

I know thats a common view, but for me you nick it you walk off. Umpire or no umpire. I look after a couple of junior teams and they are clearly influenced by top level players. Seeing an Under 13 player nick one and not walk breaks my heart, and its all down to them seeing it happen on TV.

Why?

What a strange thing to think

So you have an opinion and never ever change it, you just stick to a view the rest of your life?
Wow! That’s a complete f***ing overreaction. I merely pointed out that your latest comments were slightly at odds with your previous ones.

I'm not overreacting! Just pointing out

I explained it in my next post like, so really not sure why you didn't read that and asked someone else instead, could have saved yourself a post.

I do change my mind of course. Yesterday, I thought the latest version of “the rat” was going to stop being hysterical.

Iam comfortable in admitting I’ve changed my mind.

James Anderson, the best swing bowler in the world, a magician with the ball, and couldn’t get the ball to reverse swing on a regular basis in the ashes. Australia did, after 25 overs... on a regular basis! Hmmmmm they've been caught and some are giving them sympathy, each to their own I guess

Suppose like, just saying I think people should leave them be now, that is all.

Oh god, why do you have to bring it back to nonsense like this, you sound like David Warner!

Lighten up man.

Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot. How much sympathy would we get?
