I find this hard to believe also. - Even at local level the bowlers are the one who tell the fielders what to do with the ball - "Shine the horse" or "Shine the crown", depending on which side of the ball scuffs up first.

Always carry sandpaper in my bag to help with running repairs to my bat and anyone else's who may need it. Especially the young 'uns, for whom bat care is as alien as TV's without remote controls.

Never once entered my head in all the years I've played to take some on the pitch to use on the ball. Now a towel, or rag, to keep the ball dry is a different story....

If it is Surrey as smoker thinks then I reckon what they've done on the new T20 comp. is good for the game, personally.
 
Warner could go 2 ways here, realise where the public is going and to a tear apology, or think "fuck it", as he is unlikely to play for Australia again, he might just reveal all
