Charlton supporters have had it tough before. In the late 1980's they had to abandon the Valley for about 6 years and ground share. During that time their continued existence was always in doubt. I hope that they can pull through on this occasion.

Businessman Paul Elliott is successful in an appeal to be granted an injunction blocking the sale of Charlton Athletic.

It's a shambles , two groups of crooks in a court case over which group owns the club. The court kick the can down the road with their non decision. The wealthy guy , Thomas Sandgaard who wants to buy the club doesn't know which group to deal with. 4 or 5 players were lined up to sign if the court made a decision , including Adam Matthews and Lynch ( both ex Sunderland ). We now won't get a decision until November so this season is pretty much a write off. We will be selling rather than strengthening.

Tragic that is. I think we have a real affinity with Charlton after the 2 play offs - on both occasions your fans were friendly and a credit to the club - in stark contrast to Portsmouth fans who were horrendous. You don't deserve such tawdry owners.Elliott granted Charlton sale injunction

Ha ha , Sunderland boys have done well for us with the exception of McGeady. Bowyer is a good manager and gets the best out of the players he has at his disposal , it would be devastating for us if he left

Bowyer did an excellent job when last in this league. His past misdemeanours make him difficult to warm to as a person but his managerial credentials at L1 level speak for themselves.
The side he moulded that beat us in the playoff final just got better and better from the turn of the year onwards and no one could argue about the result in the day.
Fingers crossed things work out for your club - as others have said your fans acted with class on both occasions we’ve met at Wembley.
