Championship Relegation Thread

They both have done for years now and they always end up struggling.

We heard the same about Stoke this time last year and how they were going to challenge for automatic promotion under the genius of Alex Neil.
Neil spent a big chunk, then they had to pay off Schumacher. If they stay up it looks like they need yet another rebuild and don't have any saleable assets AFAIk

Aye, this season was a big chance for them and they blew it by appointing a DOF who was mates with Neil, essentially letting Neil have control over transfers and allowing him to bring in 24 players, 20 of whom were a steaming pile of shite.

Taking out the relegated PL sides, they were the second highest spenders in the division behind only Coventry. They might as well have set the money on fire.

No one would listen at the time mind and thought they'd have a great season.

Was really hoping either Stoke or Birmingham would go down, they'll spend decent money if they stay up
90% of this board were wanking themselves into oblivion at the start of the season saying how great Stoke would be and that they had more money than the western world combined to spend on transfers.

Even with them wasting money this season I'd say its better they went down and a team who can't spend stays up
