The 1st BR thread this season was actually quite amusing, but it has become ridiculous. I did find being called a ‘cricket snob’ quite funny mind. I’ve been called many things in my nearly 64 years, but never a snob 😂

I’ve posted this on the Sussex thread because none of the BR protesters will be reading it 😁
 

Listening to the game while painting the fence before the rain comes.

Sussex getting a good start then losing quick wickets similar to when they played us. Hope the get one or two good partnerships going

I think as usual Pujara will be key, but both Coles and Hudson-Prentice batted well against us.

Kent going well in the relegation battle too, will overtake Middlesex with bonus points if Middlesex get nowt at Old Trafford.
 
The commentator mentioned that this game was the last 1st class game Ackerman will play for Leicestershire due to a call up for the Netherlands.
Hope that doesn't mean that De Leede misses our last 2 games. No word from Durham (not a surprise).

De Leede will at least miss Leicestershire is my understanding

We will be is my understanding. Carse and Potts are playing for England. De Leede is due to fly out to India 10 days or so before the cricket world cup which I believe starts around October 6th? They have two warm up games before the competitions starts also

we might end up playing a 4 man spin attack with parky, trev, drissell and borthwick :D
 
Maximum bowling points for Leicestershire. Hopefully Sussex can get them out cheaply. It's just a formality anyway but it would be nice to go to Worcestershire knowing we're already promoted.
