CC : Surrey v Durham

Potts and Carse England, Raine on paternity, Borthwick isn’t to be classed as a bowler these days but injured anyway, Coughlin injured but seems to be on the comeback and Wagner injured so went back home.

I seen a funny one on Twitter suggesting ECB have leant on Durham to weaken their side to ensure Surrey win the league. As much as I believe some counties get favouritism I’m not sure ECB got Raine’s wife pregnant and injured all of our other bowlers.
TBF, you can see where Somerset are coming from: if it was a championship or relegation decider, a lot of our selection decisions might have gone differently. e.g. Coughlin might have been rushed back, Borthwick might have been asked to defer the elbow surgery, we might have asked Raine to put back his paternity leave and we might have signed a proper bowler instead of Chemar.

But, as they're wicket doctoring kernts, they can cope and seethe.

Sadly I think there's more chance of Vanburn, John or even Noddy taking a wicket....hopefully he proves me wrong.
Not forgetting Phil who played at Roker Park in 1976 FA Cup Quarters in a 1-0 win for Crystal Palace
Is there an underlying scenario regarding Holder 🤔 Does Lees have no confidence in him or has he an unknown injury. Either way he’s taking up a place that Stanley and Mitch would love to have .

Holder looks fast enough in his 1st over.
That looked like 2 genuine edges from Sibley through a vacant 3rd slip off Hogg.

Just come in and seen the dismissal of Burns by Holder by a terrific ball.
I may have to have a huge piece of humble pie after my earlier assessment of the lad

You have to look after yourselves first, it’s not up to us to help any county and I wouldn’t expect any favours from anyone if we were playing for snookers either.

After what they’ve done to us the last couple of times we’ve been down there with pitch preperation they can get stuffed.

I’m torn on who I want to win it in truth.
Holder written off too soon on here.

Course he was. Some of the comments about him have been disgusting. He bowled much better in the second innings last week and has looked very lively this morning.
