CC : Lancashire v Durham


Decent days cricket and Durham probably think they should have had them all out for under 300 probably about 270.
Fascinating tomorrow as our batting looks much better in quality and depth than Lancs but they have Lyon against our lefties.
Stokes v Lyon could be a corker tomorrow.
 
Think it's right in the balance, need to get that wicket quickly tomorrow. But good to have full bowling points

I thought we stuck at it well today. Not an easy first session but heads didn't drop and we stuck at it. I think Lancashire will be disappointed given they were something like 150/1 and I think Durham will be relieved it's 350/9. We shall see how we go tomorrow before I fully make judgement but I thought we stuck at it well and recovered well this afternoon.

Ben Raine’s appraisal of the day sums it up for me really. At lunch we were thinking Lancs were comfortably going to make 500+. And before anybody says it, i know they still could. But we would have taken 350/9 at lunch.

It might have been worse if Jennings had just kept going instead of trying to put Parky out of the ground.

Gut feeling i reckon you could be in for a very entertaining day at Blackpool. If we get through the new ball without to much damage i think we might see plenty of boundaries by our middle order and probably a few wickets for Lancs.
 
Here. Glorious. Low moment of my life having a can of pepsi max taken off me as apparently it's ground rules with cans as they can be used as a weapon which then another steward told me it's to increase liquid sales in the ground. Just as well managed to sneak the rest in. Absolutely bonkers especially when it's so warm as well

Weapons, never seen a can of Pepsi hoyed at anyone like well not in cricket in uk 😂

Managed to sneak some in. Ironically the ice cream van and coffee pod are both selling cans of pop.... Of course I've complained and I'll put them on the spot later pointing out I can buy the very same sized can inside the ground and fling it off a player if I want. The 100s of metal chairs I'd say are far more of a "weapon"

What was Durhams net bowling rate at the close of play last night? I would take a guess of -2.
 
This really should be at OT and on telly. Guessing there's about 2500 here today, you could easily double or even treble that in Manchester.

The sport needs to be better.
