You’re wrong to constantly, constantly, keep going.

Even when multiple people might disagree with you, you keep going. Which of course, there’s nothing wrong with, everyone has their own opinion. But sometimes it seems you’re contrary just for the sake of it.

Over 2 pages on this thread, and god knows how many threads are derailed by you arguing. And yes, before you say it, you are allowed an opinion. And yes, others go on at times as well. However, the common denominator is quite often yourself.

Great 3 days of cricket loads of runs, wickets at key moments, good catches, beddinghams was a belter, dropped catches. Great advert for the 4 day game with all results possible going into final day.

The last session was mint, fast start by them but as soon as we got a sniff we were all over them. Scotty captained brilliantly, like his mate stokes happy to go for runs to chase wicket. I watch a lot of CC like others on here, and don’t take that for granted, lot of them don’t

Loved the chat by Scotty and Raine around the bat, was funny.
 
Well Done Durham going from a position of 119 for 4 when I had serious thoughts that following on was a distinct possibility to the dominant position they are in tonight.
Tomorrow isn’t a fore gone conclusion but let us hope that they can get out early the nemesis that is Carlson and power on to victory

Excellent day's play with Durham doing what was required of them for the second successive day. Those 50+ stands for each of our last three wickets perfectly illustrated our new found spirit this season and the last one between man of the moment De Leede and Miles saw Glamogan crumble before our eyes.

Carlson is the big wicket but after Cooke at No.7 there doesn't appear to be much to follow so hopefully we can make it win No. 5 tomorrow.

Whilst I don’t think he’s been consistent enough bowling, he has fairly consistently taken wickets for us. Usually the problem is that they’re followed by a few loose balls, but I’d suggest the wicket deliveries have shown he’s got enough promise to at least continue with whilst we have no real other options

Can’t fault the lad today at all, looked a very good all-rounder option and looks better than a number 7/8 bat too

They remind me a lot of the Sunderland side of the season just gone too. Over performing consistently to the point you don’t believe it’s an over performance but a reflection on their ability, potential and determination

I just don’t think he’s a power play bowler in t20. Not his fault. He’s a line n length bowler. I’d be interested to know his speeds

It’s Intersting because he’s barely played any first class cricket , but I heard north on radio and he was saying they signed him as they think he has big potential in red ball cricket with his natural qualities

In white ball he’s also not a finisher, proper batsman who needs to play higher up the order

His bowling was top class today, he seemed quick to me but hard to say
 
I would say he looked to me around Potts pace mid 80s but seems to slip in an effort ball that’s might be high 80s.

Looks a natural 4 day player bowls some lose balls but wicket taking ones as well.

Has a solid technique with bat in hand and is decent fielder.

Carlson and Cooke are their key wickets still not a forgone conclusion on that surface.

Just to add to the BdL discussion, it strikes me as odd that we signed him primarily as a white ball specialist, yet he doesn't seem to have any of the skills required to be successful at that. Maybe it's just T20 and he'll be great in the 50 over cup... I hope so

But for a guy who I think had only played something daft like one FC match before we signed him, he seems to slot right into the red ball side as though he'd played that role all his life. He isn't a big hitter of a ball, which doesn't necessarily matter in this format and whilst he doesn't seem to take many wickets (until today, that is) the one's he does take are key wickets... partnership breakers

I still think he's a T20 liability, but fair play to him, 85 runs and 3 big wickets.... an excellent day's work
A word for Stan McAlindon too. I know he's gone round the park a bit and I know his wicket was a tad fortunate, but when he gets it right he looks really threatening. We are in the very nice position of being able to set aggressive fields in this match and we are doing just that, so while Stan has been thumped to the boundary a few times, there are big gaps everywhere if he gets it just a little wrong. I was pleased we brought him on while the ball (which one?) still had a bit of hardness in it. It's the first time I've seen him bowl and he looks to have real pace and ability. He just needs to tidy everything up and learning your craft at senior level often takes time. It does amply demonstrate why we moved to bring in Miles (and Parnell too). I think we'd have struggled in this match with two youngsters in the side.

I hadn’t actually realized BDL was proper Dutch, just assumed he was South African

Yeah spot on about Stan, especially the fields

He absolutely has something, I quite like his action, think he will be a threat as his body fills out

I think with his T20 bowling it’s a case of needs must - he’s probably the ideal man to be about 5/6 in the batting and to maybe bowl 2 overs in the middle of a game in a side where the likes of Carse, Potts and Coughlin are the strike bowlers.
