Can’t believe people really that desperate for a drink...

It’s almost like it’s seeing friends and family and a slice of normality
Do you normally spend hours with them huddled round a boozer bench trying to keep warm whilst supping ice cold ale?

It’s been a year, give it another month or so and you can meet them in some comfort and what will feel like normality.

I understand that boozers need to start bringing in income ASAP but some of the setups I’ve seen outside pubs are f***ing desperate.
It's not only being desperate for a drink in the pub but also socialising and helping someone earn a living.
Will the pubs make that much by hoying a few benches in car parks?

It’s only another month until they can open their doors properly.

They'll make something and it gives them the feeling of doing something worthwhile rather than all day at home.

There are a lot of factors to consider, it's not just about people desperate to go for a pint.

I’m going to the Oak Tree tomorrow, I won’t be drinking alcohol though.

It’s the first time in ages me and the missus can go and sit down somewhere that’s not the house and have food cooked by someone else.

Even if the venues a bit shit and it’s outside it just feels better. Will be going to my mates garden in a fortnight’s time to potentially have a barbecue weather permitting. I haven’t seen the lads in person since September.

It’s not all about the drink for some people...

Cant believe people are that desperate to moan that they'll complain about people going out with their mates having a good time while they're in with their takeaway unlimited panda buffet touching themselves to Lara Croft from the original Tomb Raider on their PS1.
Sounds like a cracking night in that mux lad.

Mind if I join you?

I'm really concerned for some pubs that are opening. My local has spent a fortune on shelters and a new beer garden, in order to open a month before the competition.

He'll be rammed for a few days I'm sure. But if the weather is crap, he's laid out a fortune, plus extra staff to serve them. Sure if its wet he can send a few home, but what if the sun comes back out again?

It's not like it's a big food pub. Its an independent beer drinkers pub. The majority will be drinkers, so I can't see how he will recoup the money he has spent. What's the profit on a pint? He will need some serious binge drinking to even get half his outlay back!

Maybe I am missing something. But a few thousand on an outdoor area you might only need for a month, and that could be closed at the drop of a hat bu the government? Its crazy
