Calvert-Lewin (discussion on transfer)

Talkshite saying the Saudis are having talks with Calvert Lewin
They can have him.

Will he score for them?….yeah, from time to time but not enough to make a difference.

Will he pick up injuries that keep him sidelined?….oh good god yes, of course he will!

He’s a busted flush unless he has found a miracle cure to his MANY ailments. If he plays more than 1400 minutes in total in the Premier for them and scores more than 7 goals, I’d be shocked.

The Mags are apparently in for him again. Will be hilarious to see the gravy boiling over if this is the standard of their transfer window.

If they think thats good business then no wonder theyre being taken the piss out of. They probably think they can get him scoring then sell him for a fee after a season or two
Everything is a gamble in football and yep there will be clubs thinking if only we can get him fit, then a season later it'll be ah fk he's got a 4 Yr contract isn't scoring and he's injured again😄

Think they'll have to transport him to any new club in bubble wrap and marked fragile, then run away before the new club discovers he's been damaged in transit
I actually think that Wilson is a better finisher.
Yep Wilson far superior but again an absolute crock waiting to happen. Proper high-risk transfers if they have to be relied upon weekly

Personally I'd take him if the money is better spent in another position. I think Wilson and Mayenda will both do well so as another option on a free to challenge them...

I honestly wouldn't touch him with a 42 foot barge pole ( I snapped the end poking people, previously) look at his stats for Everton.. Why the heed choppers would want to get rid of Wilson for him is baffling, there is literally nought between them, unless the physio has kicked off about being lonely and his mental health etc.

Will do for the Mags what Big Dunc did....ie not a lot but probably even less

Pardew 😳😮🤣

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Pardew has now suggested Everton have made a mistake in allowing Calvert-Lewin to depart.

“On their day [Calvert-Lewin and Viktor Gyokeres], there’s not much between them,” said Pardew.

When he’s on his game, he’s as good as any striker in the Premier League. If you’re a Man United fan and you’re thinking Gyokeres is going to come through the door and work with Amorim as he did at Sporting CP… that looks like it’s gone.

“If Calvert-Lewin has a day and Gyokeres has his day, they’re very similar. Of course, the consistency level of Calvert-Lewin is the big, big problem with him.”
