Everything coming along great guns @ my allotment.
We had 1st early potatoes, carrots, dwarf kale, white turnip and swede with our chicken for Sunday's dinner just gone.
For this weekend, the peas are just about ready to pick as they have shot up, and the pods are swelling.
The runner beans are flowering and getting pollenated, and the small beans are there on the trusses now. French beans are doing well, along with the broad beans.
Summer cabbages (greyhound) are ready now. The purple sprouting broccoli are tall and strong. I shall be putting out some winter cabbages (Ormskirk) this week, and sowing some more (winter king) along with winter kale (nero ).
The sweetcorn are taking off, as the hot sunny weather has boosted them.
Beetroot, onions, leeks, shallots, parsnips, marrows, courgettes, tomatoes, chilis, cucumbers, aubergines, along with the 2nd early spuds and main crop spuds all doing great.
I held back with the lettuce & radish so far, as I have been making a tripod stand for them so they can grow in pots/containers, and need to get it in position. Maybe this week.
I have a pumpkin to transplant into a big container - might do it today.
The only problem I have now is with my Asparagus. It has been non-existent for 4 years since planting the crowns., and there has been signs of Mr Mole around where they are.

I think I shall have to dig the plot over and re-plant something long term. Maybe some raspberries - but there's 2 types - summer & autumn fruiting. I shall have a think about it.
