Coates struggled for fitness and wasn't really suited to poyet's style, he looked much better under Advocaat and if he starts this season how he finished the last we have got ourselves a bargain imo.

why people continue to pick on JOS is beyond me

everyone in the country knows our problem is we lack pace, creativity and goals

yet we pick on the defence, even though its the main reason we stayed up

Main reason we stayed up was our keeper. Rest of the team were f***ing dire.

We need defence sorted and JoS and Brown are not it. Coates is a headless chicken (from what I've seen) and Kaboul is decent but continually injured.

Add to that our midfield is f***ing wank. Catts is another headless chicken (but can hoy a tackle in which makes him a God on here..) and Seb has fuck all going for him and just hampers our team. Not even worth putting in for his free kicks nowadays..

Defoe will get us goals, if we can create chances for him to add to the ones he makes himself.
