Boro thread

That sounds the most likely. Its tragic how Boro have chucked away these opportunities. Is it basic lack of self confidence or self belief? Has Carrick run out of ideas? Its almost like you don't deserve it but could still do it.
It's like we don't have any game management, or somebody on the pitch to give us a bit of 'steel' when we come under pressure.
Get ourselves in front, then we get say a penalty - miss it and then it's like we KNOW what's gonna happen next.
My own view on Carrick is I reckon he'll walk after Saturday (unless we get some sort of miracle and qualify for play offs).

Its a shame because he's a bright bloke and looked to have what it takes to be a successful manager. This would go down as a failure if he does walk or is pushed and that may be a little unfair.

Yes I'd really love him to succeed with us, but he's looking increasingly p**sed off in interviews and stuff.
Reckon if he does leave he'll be a success somewhere.

Whys he failed? Investment, no backing, shit signings crap tactics or a bit of everything?.
I'd say there's been plenty investment.
Some of the signings have been disappointing.
You could point to stuff like Akpom, Rogers and Latte Lath leaving and not being replaced properly and the injuries have been off the scale for two seasons now, but the number of times our opponents change things round mid-Match and we just don't react is alarming.
Any subs (too late normally) are quite often like for like, and we just don't seem capable of 'chasing a game', so basically yep it's a bit of everything.
It's frustrating - we desperately needed to beat Norwich last weekend, yet there seemed to be no urgency at all.

Suppose you could say he hasn't 'failed' yet (still possible for play offs)., and I'm certainly not of the mind that we were good enough to challenge for automatics.
The apparent lack of fight is the disappointing thing to me.

I have to give you credit for being able to discuss the boro position without foaming at the mouth like some on here after our Oxford result. It’s looking like your lot have blown it at the last hurdle , yet you aren’t on here demanding Gibson sack Carrick.

I think he walks this summer. Not sure who they bring in. Maybe some no name from France or Spain.
They beat us a couple of weeks ago, mind
To be fair the under 13s girls team would give us a game since we guaranteed top 6.
Hope they win, need the Bristol hotel booking
And if we can’t beat Bristol over two legs we don’t deserve to go up.
