Boro thread

2 weeks running Coventry have given them a chance to be in top 6 and bottled it. They could still do it but it depends on other results.

If they do finish 6th, I fancy them to get revenge on Wilder and knock Sheffield United out, then for Boro to lose in the final. Hopefully against us if we get passed our semi.

I thought this would have been sorted by now, any one of 5 teams could finish 5th

Aye it's weird.
Millwall and Blackburn both have tough away games (on paper) - Burnley and Sheffield United respectively.
Wouldn't surprise me if they both lost and we turn the gift horse down again by getting stuffed at Coventry.

Obviously it's over the whole season, but losing at Sheffield Wed (after screwing up a penalty which would have put us 0-2 up) and then drawing against Norwich hasn't done us any favours.

But, we all finish where we deserve to......

Boro to beat Coventry and both fail to get into the play offs.
It helps us that both have to win this, a few injuries and red cards wouldn’t be bad for us.
I can see Boro and Coventry drawing and Blackburn sneaking in. I know Blackburn have Sheff Utd but I can see them resting players
Not sure Wilder will rest he is old school will want to go into play offs off the back of a win.

That sounds the most likely. Its tragic how Boro have chucked away these opportunities. Is it basic lack of self confidence or self belief? Has Carrick run out of ideas? Its almost like you don't deserve it but could still do it.
