I'm sure someone has already posted this, but AF17, JFK to CDG is scheduled to take off right from, 18.10 local time, 23.10 UK time. I guess if he tweets after that it knocks a hole in this story?

Scrap this, just clicked further down and there's more like 6 flight JFK/CDG just in the next few hours, probably even more after that as well.

I think the point is on Thursday Rogers said "he would be back in a few days" now all of a sudden the injury is so bad he has had to fly back home, I personally think he is flying back for other reasons than this injury

Why would they need a smokescreen? Given they have accepted a bid saying he is flying home to discuss terms isn't going to be controversial.

This would only make sense if they'd rejected our offer. There can't be a bidding war when you've already agreed a price you will sell him for.

More likely his agent leaked it to get other clubs interested which hasn't happened OR Liverpool have leaked it as they wanted to make it public that they don't want him......without saying so outright.
