Aye mate. Me too. Always been confident on this deal. Obviously that is only on the clubs side of things. The player holds a lot of the cards. Think he will come once the Remy deal gets rubber stamped.

The thing is this "14m" probably cant be utilised anywhere else as it might not exist fully as cash.
Part of it is probably a lot of complex offsetting of money or addons still owed for Mingolet and Henderson

I'm also thinking the same.

It has to be down to the contract we are offering surely.

If borini was adamant he wanted to stay put, then surely gus would've said so and moved to other targets.

God knows what he's on at Liverpool but he will want the same if not more here perhaps. Will we pay it though.

Time will tell.

If we're not actually paying say, the 10m up front and 4 m in addons, so for example if it was offsetting some money Liverpool owe us, then it would mean we're not really paying what people think for borini.
People are just assuming that if we dont buy him we have a spare 10-14m burning a hole.

I don't think many transfers involve paying up front. Surely if we go elsewhere we can just offset whatever payment against the same income we are still due from Liverpool.
 
Boriniwatch Day 7!

Today, he is not in Minneapolis or Portland, no sightings in Sunderland either. Frys Chippy on Sea Road have a Borini fish lot special for when he does sign and the Blue Bell has Peroni on ice to make him feel at home.
