If Gus wasn't slightly confident that Borini will still join surely he wouldn't say stuff like this? He's saying there's no place for a player we own due to the fact there's a player we don't possibly joining!
This is getting ridiculous now, I want this sorted by the end of the weekend Gus or I'm gonna look slightly miffed and possibly even place an object down in a more heavy handed way than normal.

The thing is, after this long there is still not a definite "no". So it's seems like it's a question of getting confirmation from Liverpool as to whether they have any genuine interest in keeping him or if he waiting for other options.
Even though the deal isn't dead, he hasn't shown enough interest in joining for me and I think we should withdraw our offer and move on.
