Booing and abuse

Finishing 4th is an unreal season

People booing man
I would not and never have booed an safc player -in fact I cringe when others do ( nearest I got was Terry Curran )!
However -you can see why there’s ā€œfrustrationā€ -some will vent that in boos ( Boro got that today as well and they could still get in -it’s frustration)
Does it help -not in my humble but whilst I agree it’s been a great season -and better than expected-we should use the great season as motivation and kick on even further -not bow out with a whimper ….and say ā€œ oh well that’s ok as we exceeded what we thought we would do ā€œ
No you grab the opportunity that’s been earned -show fight -kick on and give it a right go -over to Reggie !

I think it’s ridiculous hurling abuse at a team that finished 4th to be honest. Completely understand disappointment in missing out (we werent a better side than Leeds or Burnley) and recent performances but the idea of battering the players ahead of the playoffs is insane to me. Surely we should be pulling together and trying to sell out the play off semi and getting a decent atmosphere going
This ^ is the issue, happy clapping personified! They are a disgrace
And panto fans.
They have every right to show their disgust at the crap served up

Personally think it's narrow minded booing at present when it's 100% clear they are saving themselves for the playoffs. Despite what Reggie said about us ramping up again, it was never actually going to happen as they are totally not wanting injuries now.

Whether we can switch it back on after a long season with too many younguns is highly debatable. They have been mentally and physically shot for months and I think the resting policy was actually the best option as we were fading fast anyway.

So for me we were done anyway, and even with the resting we might still be done but there's no point booing now until we see if it works or not.

The manager inferred this wasn’t a friendly. There was a lack of clarity, intent and effort today.
Thanks mate

No matter what anyone says, there is nowt riding on it
Nowt at all.
It's fairly hard to be up for a game as much as another team if they have something to play for.
And really stupid if we play with loads of intensity.
No matter what he says , there's no way players are going to go in fully on this game and the game next week. I'm just surprised I have to explain this !
Just like teams usually play quite poorly before a cup final as players don't want to get injured.

If they did and got injured id be more annoyed with them then playing poorly today

I think morale counts for a lot and those lads look as enthusiastic as a used condom

Don’t bother mate if this hovel tonight is a barometer of our fans.

I’d agree that momentum is a big thing. I’d rather our season was flipped and we’d started shit then hit form like Coventry but it’s not the be all and end all. There’s every chance of making it. Feels like some of our fans have flung the towel in already.

A lot booing today and abuse, Rigg looking like his nearly crying, players just standing there staring at us. The feel good factor gone?

Big pressure on Regis to deliver in the playoffs cause flinging 4 games in a row was always going to make our crowd a bit more moany then what we already are.
Good.

I couldn’t go on a pitch in any sport and not try my best. Each to their own though.

They aren’t a disgrace though are they. They finished 4th and have two massively important games coming up that could still see us promoted. It’s weird that people are just throwing the towel in.
They have been terrible for months, the manager is awful, if we lose in the semi finals all of his bluster needs too get him the sack.
Yes, you have never played if you think otherwise

This. Wankers
But what if they didn’t perform against Oxford or Blackburn and still manage promotion? Are they still wankers? It’s not a cast iron fact that losing these games means we don’t get promotion. I understand the momentum argument but calling our players wankers for being the 4th best team in the league is hardly likely to improve matters
