80% is still approx 60k fans. Salford is in a fairly decent location for people outside the area to get to, unlike us who might as well be a principality .

Here's a clue why this is flawed. They don't have 75k season ticket holders.

Very similar to us until the Arabs bought into their club. Supporters who were better than their football team.

Err which is in Salford...
City of Salford, a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester
Trafford, a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester

Neither of which are in Manchester, a city and metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester.

Point being, that City fans like to bait Utd fans that Utd isn't in Manchester. Hence the 'welcome to Manchester ' sign that City put up to take the piss.

Never minded Man City good club good fans, I did feel a bit jealous of the wealth when the Arabs took over and they had the arsewipe Hughes in charge

Hope they pip Chelsea to the title and go far in the CL[DOUBLEPOST=1392297629][/DOUBLEPOST]
100% This kid
:lol::lol:

I think we see each other's fans as kindred spirits in a way, (except they've just won the lottery!) we get our 'famous' neighbors rammed down our throats at every opportunity by the media but realisticly as it stands there's little between us, and they've also been down but stuck with their club, I'll always have great memories (not for the result mind)of my first visit there for the relegation game when we took 15k to Maine Rd and the reception the City fans (and players!) gave us, I hope they win the title, but we win the cup!

Remember a bit of a party in May 1968, at Leeming Motel, of all places, after we met City fans on our way back from Old Trafford. We had just won 2 - 1, and they beat the mags 4 - 3 and won the title!

There's a mutual respect between Man City and Sunderland fans imo

so youve never been to matches at their old ground?[DOUBLEPOST=1392301674][/DOUBLEPOST]
Spoke to one or two last neet and they still love "taking the piss out of United" when Aguero won them the league.

fair play to them, it completely trumps manures dominance of english football for the last 15 years

I telt him it would have been the same if City had been at the SOL and United won the league but they didn't seem to care
