Quite a few Mancs have chips on their shoulders in general. I find they're either overly friendly or a c*nt.

That's true anarl like.

Mancs all tend to be massively confident for some reason.[DOUBLEPOST=1392309319][/DOUBLEPOST]
Liverpool are as bad as Man United for tourist fans yet they seem to get off lightly.

I used to fly between Dublin and Manchester quite a bit. On a matchday / weekend you'd typically see more people coming to / from Liverpool games than United games.

I did the flight on Sunday and there were maybe 10 Liverpool fans on it. More DUB / MCR flights than DUB / LIV.

hmm ever go to Maine Road?

Indeed I did Sir, several times and on one occasion, a night cup game, I found myself at the back of the Kippax with a Sunlan shirt on. Thanks to a feckwit of a copper who pointed me to the wrong turnstile.
I took a kicking before I could get to the coppers in no mans land.
However, I hope to share a pint or two with any Citeh folk we bump into down in the smoke.

There's a mutual respect between Man City and Sunderland fans imo
It might be like that now but I remember going to Maine Road in , I think, 1966, 1st match of the season and they had just got promoted. Johnny Crossan had transferred to them and was captain. After the match, they chased us back to the coach and were trying to push all the supporters buses over. First time I had experienced supporter violence. We had planned to spend the evening in Manchester but the driver wanted to get the hell out of the place and we agreed with him. Horrible experience I'll never forget. Oh yes, they beat us as well.

I'm too young to remember the Maine Road days clearly but it certainly seems to have changed a lot since.

If you compare City's match going support to Utd's match going support, I reckon a lot more of City's fans will come from Manchester. Stands to reason. Utd have fans everywhere. They are more a national team with a lot of overseas support. They have also priced put a lot of their local support from Salford.

Same thing will happen to City, especially if they put up their ticket prices like Utd have. £42 for Safc at City. And I bet that's one of the cheaper games at City

friendly final is an excellent plus point for both teams, remember Norwich in 85 ? lovely atmosphere that has never been forgotten by both clubs :)
