Bid rejected for Clarke


That's such an embarrassing bid from Burnley. They need to stop wasting everyone's time (their third bid ffs).

If I was a Burnley fan I'd be seriously worried their recruitment team is wasting their time on such ridiculously low bids. They either don't have the money, or don't have a clue. Might be one of those they are bidding to try and keep their fans happy/ look busy, but know they don't actually have the money. We've definitely done that in the past during our banter era.

Equally our club needs to set a minimum price (for me 17-20m, I understand others want more) and no even bother responding to anything far away from it. We can't pretend that players don't all have a price, but 9m is a joke.
 
1) nobody really knows if a) theres been a bid b) how much any bid has been and c) if weve put any sort of price tag on him
2) Even his agent has stated hes more than happy here.
3) For Clarke to go to a dogshit outfit like Burnley would be disappointing for him and his agent after the season hes had, even with Premier league its barely an upgrade.

I think we need to buckle in for another month of speculation like this, but im chilled about this particular link because the stories circulating so far are miles off beam. Hes not going anywhere near Burnley for 9 or 10 million quid.

Why do people keep typing we are encouraging these offers? Just guessing on the worst case scenario, sad depressed people. This is a different club, its not happening, let Burnley keep spewing out their shite, its not happening until its around 3 times that price
 
so theyre saying he’s worth less now than he was when he moved as a 17 year old. Insulting and wasting out time. I would refuse to do any business with them. It’s not just us either, they seem to be regularly putting in derisory bids for players. Wouldn’t even respond to them

I think it is, thats why I said it. To continually put in the press bids of bids of around 10m is odd, been weeks now.

Maybe it's the journalist stirring it up on their behalf?
Also happens a lot - suppose you could say its weird tbf but not uncommon.
This particular journalist would need very little encouragement also in the case of safc.
