Bid rejected for Clarke

The club simply have to say no unless its over 20m. Any less and there'd be doubts about what the plan is.

Hopefully downie is wrong about us not reparesponding yet as I don't like the sound of that.

But are we paying him the wage of a 15-20m player that we allegedly rate him at.

We won't be.
Probably not, but I doubt Millwall are paying Fleming that (linked with a £15m move away) or Bristol City are paying Scott that (linked with a £20m move away).

Fleming is going though isn't he?

I'm just using that example as a reason why harte and Clarke will like the bids. Gives them strength to go and ask for a new contract.

I'll be pissed off if he goes for anything around that kind of pitiful fee. Leicester are flogging players for £20-40m and they are a championship club now. I know the players they sold are better and that but £9m for one of out best players? No chance man

Why should the club even comment on it, its made up shite from a newspaper man

The club have an opportunity right now to build trust in the process, bending over and letting him go for a penny less than 18m will show they're all talk. Guess we wait and see.
