Best back four and goalkeeper for SAFC in your lifetime?

I’ll go for the Bould / Evans one but I liked the Turner, Venison, Pickering, Elliott, Atkins and Chisholm back 5 under Durban.

Atkins was class

Would love to fit Mensah in but don’t know who would drop out from Evans and Bould.
It doesn’t matter who he partnered with, he made them look good too

I liked Makin but Bardsley is / was our best right back in the last 30 years or so

Loved Nyron and Benno but probably wont make the cut for centre half (especially Nyron :) )

Martin Scott probably the best "defensive" left back we've had for a good few years

I'm too young to be able to rate Elliott / Chisholm / Atkins etc .

Tommy, Bardsley, Mickey Gray, Johnny Evans (not even a Sunderland player), and a straight out of left field John Mensah

Given
Makin
Bolton
Watson
Elliott

Went the sentimental route with Elliott and Bolton..easily swapped for Bould and Gray.

GK: Sorensen
RB: Makin
CB: Craddock
CB: Bould
LB: Gray

Normally hesitant to include Bould as he only played 21 games but he was excellent during that spell in arguably the best team in my lifetime.

Thought Craddock was outstanding for about 2 and a half years, and although he was popular at the time he doesn't really get the recognition his performances deserved.

Monty
Malone
Watson
Bennett
Bolton

Atkins, Elliott & Clarke also deserve a mention. What they did at the time made it difficult for me to leave them out.
