It makes a huge difference, Man Utd have the second best defence in the PL, and it's mostly down to how organised they are as rather than them having quality defenders.

Lovren was one of the best CBs in a PL season because of good defensive organisation, with Schneiderlin and Wanyama protecting the back 4 and without that has looked shite at Liverpool.

Not saying he's a a guaranteed success but I do think he will sort them out.

So who is going to do this back 4 protection? They don't have a Schneiderlein Or a Wanyama

Man United have Chris Smalling, Marcus Rojo, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Phil Jones. Not one of them is a bad defender. It isn't the same as that.

Lovren has been pretty good this season as well, he isn't necessarily a great footballer like he was asked to play by Rodgers (shown by the West Ham game early this season as an example) but he's a good defender and doesn't need to play that way now. Again that isn't the same as this, it's not even that similar to be honest.

Anything less than that at Inter, Real, Chelsea would be criminal. 50% would certainly be expected at Napoli, Valencia and Liverpool.

Only Keegan got them above 50% as a permanent manager in the PL at 54%

as much as the mags will no doubt talk this up i am still not worried, in the least, as i said on another thread, they can change the manager and the coaching staff as many times s they like, however if there players are not up for the battle, then the result will remain the same.

Managing Real Madrid, Liverpool, Milan etc the minimum required is a 50% win record. If you can do that managing lesser clubs then you are a good manager.

You get confidence through good motivation. You never felt confident after getting a good appraisal from a Manager? I certainly have and it lifts you.
