Bellingham

He is a 9 for me. Even his brother said Jobe is a striker when talking about his potential the other week.

He's got the attributes and plays better with his back to goal up against a defender than he does receiving a ball in midfield on the half turn where he so often loses it. He uses his body better there, he makes runs of a striker too.

100% mate. I think he doesn't know exactly what to do with the ball when he has soace and room...but that will come with experience hopefully. Honestly think Rigg is worth a go where Jobe is playing.

Seems to fade every single game . Started extremely well today, pressing and forcing Preston into mistakes. Was very tidy on the ball too

Just seemed a bit lost in the second half

I agree. We should be bringing him off earlier in games. Give him 45 to and hour then bring on either Rigg or Aouchiche

I think given the minutes he's playing and his age then it would make sense rotating him a bit more, be that with Rigg or someone else.

I still honestly think that the club will cash in big time on him in either January or more likely the summer as he is talented and such is the furore around his brother that no Jobe's playing regularly and there's some positive press around performance clubs will not want to miss out.

Tin hat on here but if you can get good money for Jobe in summer then i would cash in.

He hasnt. He's often nowhere near strong enough when receiving the ball and I'm yet to be convinced he has the ability to play as a 10.

Then again he is talented and he's 18 and played more football this season than he has in his career.

He absolutely cannot play 6 like from a defensive perspective, he's next to non existent off the ball. He's probably a number 8 at the moment im a side with two of them but he's 18 and in and out of form - he struggles a 10, just hasn't the vision or influence on the game.

He's looked better at centre forward for me in 3 or 4 games like but clearly he or they don't want him to play it as after impressing there several weeks ago they brought Dack in to play ahead of him.
I didn’t say he could.

But he’s looked good as a 6/8 in a double pivot, against Leeds and Blackburn.

None of our players can play single pivot 6. None of them. We need to sign one.

That would be madness.

He’s a year younger than Dan Neil was in League One.

Look at what playing regularly has done to that lad.

Bellingham probably has the natural ability to progress even better than that. But even if he just raised his level by the same amount Dan has over 2 1/2 seasons then we have ourselves a £30-50m player on our hands.

Cashing in on him early for £15m ok a good day would be silly.

Looks to have lost a little sharpness probably due to a little bit of tiredness.

But I’d preserve with him. He’s the only one who looks has the confidence to slow things down in the final third where we’re a little crash bang wallop.

Looking forward to his and Pritchards link up develop

This will age well.

You can see it’s all there imo. He’s f***ing eighteen.

What I would say is: they are too hasty with him. His brother didn’t play 10 properly until this year. He moved from 6 to 8 to 10. Best games I’ve seen Bellingham play - Leeds, Blackburn - he’s just ran the game from a deeper position. I don’t think he’s quite ready for 10, but he has such a high ceiling. I honestly don’t know how you can’t see that.

Where did I predict the future and say what he would or wouldn't become? I've no idea what will happen in 5 years time, nobody, including you, does.

What I stated was that at this present time he is neither something or nothing and quite bluntly offers very little and actually breaks down some of our breaks.

He is poor at the moment and doesn't deserve to start. I can't see what he currently brings and think that Adil or Rigg deserve a run of games to see what they could offer.

Not once, as you mistakenly claim, did I write him off.

Save it for the bumps.

I could see someone like Real Madrid buying him but loaning him back to us for another season.

He clearly isn't ready to play at that level yet.

I know I'm going to set fire to the board with this, but genuinely no idea what he's good at. He's scored a few goals granted, but he jogs seemingly half arsed when we're trying to regain possession, frequently when he gets the ball, stops, turns back and pass it sideways. Doesn't seem to drive forward, doesn't seem able to pick a defence splitting pass, doesn't seem to take anyone on. I've no idea what he's supposed to be. I do wonder if his brother wasn't who he is, would he be starting.

I'd rather give Adil or Rigg a run of games.
It's like Henderson all over again. Shite.

He’s one that I definitely think will handle the derby fine -In fact I think he will thrive in it

You literally know nothing about football.

Ÿeah, I don't get thr hype!

There will certainly be one or two of our players who will thrive in that atmosphere and I agree that Jobe could be one of them.

O'Nein is likely to be another. -although he is nailed on to get at least 1 yellow during the game.

All about opinions mate. I don't see the potential as much as others do regarding Jobe. Slow in alot of things he does.

As long as we compete -dint freeze (v young side) and they go and give them a fright I’m happy -they should batter us -but if these lads put in a big shift -with the crowd behind them -you never know
