People have complained about it for years while other's have simply said ignore it. It's some years since I lived in the region and image of Sunderland projected by the BBC as a second rate city was obvious even then. It seemed to transcend the football rivalry. Having observed it from the outside for a few years it has become beyond a joke they don't even pretend to care that a lot of people outside if Newcastle feel excluded by the BBC. Sunderland just doesn't seem to fit in to the notion of exclusivity that BBC Newcastle's executives clearly seekIt is a quite deliberate policy against the club and therefore the city. They are very quick to report any negative issue
Bang onDawn is just a puppet, the ones who are in charge - program controllers etc for Look North will be the sly Mag twats. Look at the credits at the end to see who they are then look up their social media profiles.
The coverage last night was beyond embarrassing- even for their low standards .I take great delight that it must have absolutely rankled them that SAFC and over 50k supporters had the dream weekend with no bother at all.
If that had been Newcastle then local BBC would have commissioned a one hour special.
Luckily itās only us oldies who watch shite local news - the younguns get their fix from online platforms so wonāt be influenced like the old days .
We are on the up and they hate that
The scum need to spend billions and achieve champions league to keep their hordes happy.
I know which I prefer

The sheer sight of his nameMoved south in the 90ās just as the Geordie nation was been invented by Hall and co. It all changed then end emboldened the bias. The kick back was an inevitable deepening of the animosity and that fuelled even more bias by āLook Newcastleā and the Geordie press. Itās wrong but the bias stems from an unprofessional editorial team. The BBC should stamp it out!!
The BBC TV studio in Leeds broadcasts its verson of Look North for Yorkshire & the North Midlands and provides the local TV news & sport for the city of York & the surrounding area, The Newcastle studio therefore needs to be asked how often does it normally provided reviews and coverage of York football club's games when that job clearly falls within the remit of York's local Look North programme which is broadcast from Leeds .
Compared with the extensive and genuinely positive coverage by āTyne Teesā/ITV that was on immediately beforehand, it was acknowledged on sufferance by āLook Geordieā
Jeff should go back to reading the sport. As a presenter he comes across as a bit dim.Not even headlines
Jeff is and York are mentioned before us
Since when has York being in look north from Newcastle sphere
Iām writing a letter of complaint
Jeff mlf Iām disappointed
So next season they can put the Saudis on last after every game then.Only excuse for putting us after York is to build up to the bigger story.
I see turbot clout was at it again. A feature on Broadhead being injured and withdrawing from the Wales squad was accompanied by commentary on how many goals heād scored and a VT of him missing a chance.
Look North even put up the strap line Ho Way the Lads, when showing a picture of Wembley Way.

I like him tbhThey are rattled then
Ridiculous comment![]()
It worked though. They're spending millions on its refurbishment, using money that was allocated for Sunderland train station.I remember the top story on there a few weeks back was about how the tyne bridge was looking a bit rusty and could do with a lick of paint.![]()
Is that true?It worked though. They're spending millions on its refurbishment, using money that was allocated for Sunderland train station.

Only joking man.
If thatās true I donāt know how they can complain about wearside folk again we must be the most placid people ever , civil wars have been fought for less
I like him tbh
Decent presenter and bloke
