The conversation has absolutely nothing to do with what you’ve contributed. Specifically, we are talking about individual ability, and absolutely nothing to do with how said individuals may or may not affect the team. McGeady’s ability last season was clear, and we also performed miles better with him in the team than when he was absent under Parky. We are a worse team with McGeady in and in the last 2 and a half seasons our results with him out of the team are miles better than when he plays.
Again not true. He was dropped by Parky after we had only won once in our first 9 games under him. We then lost once in the next 16 when he was out of the side. Under Johnson we are now a much more coherent side that can press without McGeady. He might have a role to play but he’s not good enough at his age to start regularly in our side. The conversation has absolutely nothing to do with what you’ve contributed. Again, nothing to do with the conversation. I don’t disagree with your points, but they have nothing to do with what the conversation was about. Summerbee reckons Bannan is the most accomplished midfielder to play in League One. I reckon it’s McGeady; or at least McGeady is more accomplished than Bannan, both in terms of overall career and the peak performance shown whilst playing in this league. Absolutely nothing to do with McGeady now, pressing, how he fits in the team, how he performs right now, how he’s performed this season, whether he can start regularly in the current side, or our sides coherence with / without McGeady - or any other of your irrelevant arguments. What you’re saying is right, but irrelevant to where the thread was focused.Again not true. He was dropped by Parky after we had only won once in our first 9 games under him. Certainly based on today and what we have seen of Pritch in recent weeks. However we don’t see Bannon every week.Thing about watching tonight is how similar Pritch and Bannon are. And Pritch is the better player.
Barry Bannan has Alex Pritchard posters on his bedroom wall.Thing about watching tonight is how similar Pritch and Bannon are. And Pritch is the better player.
Tricky. I do like Homes under the Hammer.Dion Dublin or Ross Stewart ?
I mean he might be decent if we let him have a turn with the football. Who knows.
A headbutt for the decades mate. And a bannan headbutt![]()
Genuinely the worst post I’ve ever seen on this forumBannan is a phenomenal player and the best midfielder at this level for decades, but Neil's ceiling is far higher.
Paedo Alert!Would I rather have one of the best and most promising young players in the EFL or a 30-something?
