Away tickets - Loyalty points . . .

Nothing has been explained. I’ve been told it might be possible if we turn shit. That’s all.

If in 3 years demand is still high, would you accept a fairer system?
It'll be possible even if we don't. This season was always going to be really high demand. There are some who are in a fortunate enough position to be able to do every away, and who are prepared to sacrifice whatever it takes to do so. They'll always go. Everyone else will go to more games when it's exciting and less at other times. Everyone will go back to doing as many as they previously did before long. Feels like it'll never happen, but we're SAFC, we should be in this division. And, much though it'd be mint after what we endured for a few years, if we're regularly mid table some people will get bored of it, or they'll prioritise doing other things some weekends. And if we get much better there'll be European trips to pay for so a lot won't be able to do every game.

It'll definitely ease. I'm in the same boat as yourself (my lads 11 but also has only a small handful of points from home cup/ Sheffield United games). I'd like to take him to his first non Wembley away game in the next couple of years and I'm not at all worried, he'll get his chance. He's a bit disappointed he can't do it this season but I've told him he should be grateful for what he's getting. We've watched us beat the world champions away, on the TV but who cares, it was mint. We've seen us win a derby in person, he's seen us hold man city and arsenal. All the star players he's had on FIFA, he's watched a lot of them already. I've just reminded him that the stuff he sat through in league one that he didn't enjoy (his first ST was our first league one season), for fans of those clubs that's pretty much as good as it'll get. He's lucky to support this club and be getting these memories now. And before long he'll get to an away game, just needs patience

Demand will drop off like
Just look at the mags, there cup game against villa went to 0 points and city has gone to 15. Considering they have people on 200+ points that’s probably equivalent to 0 on our system.

No, I’m saying it’s now impossible and kids coming of age have no way of gaining enough bcps
Take your case up with Richard Masters ask him for help as you clearly need it.
Do the home cup games, do any away cup games he can, if we are successful over a period of time then like someone mentioned there will be more of these games. We will get int Europe and people will have to sack off some league games because of the cost of doing them, there will be European aways he will be able to go to. people will get older and stop going, people will die. He will eventually move up over time
He wants access to away tickets NOW he s so entitled his son is the only person in the world. He doesn’t want to wait until demand drops off he wants loyal fans to be banned as they’ve had their lifetimes allocation of away games.
Another one missing the point.

Can you explain to me a scenario where the lad builds up enough points to get into phase 2 without the presumption we get relegated or turn shit.
Have u complained to the national lottery commission as its not fair that you don’t win the £10m jackpot when you want it?

Post some sensible stuff you @Guinness Guzzler

What will happen is people will cry for a ballot. The ballot will happen and they’ll only get a couple of tickets a season so they’ll cry for a new system again.

It has been mentioned but it is funny how people can suddenly have the circumstances to go to away games this season but haven’t bothered their arses the last 3 year in the championship (and league 1 before that). Roughly 70 away games the last 3 year and I reckon about 50/55ish you’d have managed to get a ticket pretty easily.
This is closer to the truth...got 60 odd points with mate similar, the kids have 15 and 13 points which have been built over last few seasons.

Main people I know moaning have only got a point or 2, ignore any League Cup games which offer points as "it'll be crap" but moan like f*ck when they cannot go to Leeds/Boro in the Championship or any Premier League game they desire....they want maximum return with minimum effort and minimum outlay.

There are plenty genuine cases of being just below the thresholds and having to build more points up, of which I'm one with the kids as illustrated above, but we've just got to keep chipping away take the opportunities when they arise and hope of a League Cup run with incentivised points for low crowds etc...

No simple solution 'cos when the zero/1 point crowd are unsuccessful in the ballots which they propose they will then want it changed to something else to accommodate them.

In the main the 1st/2nd phase season card holders have rightfully built up their points to be able to qualify for these phases by a lot of hard work and no little money, whilst being mindful that if the club were ever back in the Premier League they would be first in the queue and rightfully so.

I have tried to build my kids points up over the years for this very scenario but have still fallen short, they may get to some like Everton in the cup but that's about it, keep chipping away, that is all you do and I think most people accept that and imo the current system is as fair as can be.

But you’d sack off education so he could attend Bournemouth on 28th February?
28th Feb is a Saturday.
Why not do us all a favour and sack off your season tickets?
Why, because you don't like your closed shop system being challenged?
No, it wasn’t convenient. He can only travel to Newcastle, Manchester or Liverpool to see Newcastle United, Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton or Liverpool. All other clubs aren’t worthy of his time and money.
Utter lies.

Again, all total misunderstanding of the point.

To be clear, I'm not asking for priority on tickets. I'm asking for a way that if we remain successful and demand stays high, that kids becoming old enough to attend away matches have away to get BCPs

I assume you’re referring to me.

You do realise kids are born every year and they’ll be a steady stream of people in this situation.

At the moment, it’s a case of those with high points get to go to all the games and won’t countenance anyone going to even one game if it means they can’t go to all.

Not to mention those on shift work, those who can’t afford to go to every game, and so on.

It’s a closed shop with no way of entering unless demand drops, and I don’t believe the fables that it will drop next season. People are assuming we’ll end up being shit again, but I don’t see that and I don’t buy the “just wait and we promise we’ll change it if it doesn’t get better” either.

Yes, you went to Norwich on a Tuesday, that shouldn’t mean you get to go to every single away game and others get to go to none.

The solution is to give a bcp for every home game and women’s game too. Then every bcp you have is one entry into the ballot.

That way someone on 70pts gets 70 entries and is 70 times more likely to get a ticket than someone on one, but it gives everyone a chance.
A bcp for every women's game too? That absolute nonsense btw. Was a farce when they gave one out for the mags game and hopefully never to be repeated.

Where does his next point come from?

Roker park was often just a queue at the ticket office, or if you knew Bobby Jewitt.
Did you take him to Norwich and Bristol City away last season?

Less than a year ago so still in the bracket for ‘being ready’ to go to away games
