Australia v England, 2nd Test, 4th December 0400

Yes,some express opinions more forcibly than others. Tit for tat. It's all subjective-what's unfair to some is spur of the moment deserved comment to others.Fair enough, but then you're stooping to the level that you're objecting to. As I 've argued many times, passionate comment is irrational. It's understandable and excusable on that ground imo. You're rather passionate yourself! and hence irrational at times, possibly? I certainly am when Players do something which disappoints me.
I think that’s fair up to a point.

I think it’s more than fair to accept in the heat of the moment in the heat of the battle irrational things will be said that’s sport and passion it happens.

However I don’t think it’s fair when people have had time to reflect and still abuse players or individuals unfairly.

There is a difference imo between passionate people who lose it in the heat of the moment occasionally and angry people using passion as an excuse to constantly abuse people.

It happens with refs all the time in football

Can you see the difference between the two in my last sentence?

Yeh,and I'm defending the spur of the moment respondees which are the category who post on here. That's the core of my defence -it's spur of the moment frustration and it's both understandable and excusable and hence shouldn't be the subject of ridicule or insult responses.
Those who constantly criticise are best totally ignored.
-"you can't get into the brains of the brainless" - Cloughie quote,I believe.

Stunning stat. Over 75% of Australia’s runs this innings came behind square. Horrendous bowling, waaaaaay too short. Gotta hit your length.

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?

And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark Satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold
Bring me my arrows of desire
Bring me my spear, O clouds unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire.

I will not cease from mental fight
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

Commentator: "Good bounce and carry from Archer"

The ball: Barely carried to the keeper.

That's not a dig at Archer, it's a dig at the commentator.

Australia have batted 80 overs, and England's over rate is minus four, so they're in line for a fine and some WTC points. Australia are not at this point, because they bowled England out inside 80 overs (76.2), although their over-rate was -8 in the process

Still in bed listening to TMS. Will get up once England commence their 2nd innings.
Looking forward to watching an opening partnership of 120 from Crawley and butter fingers Ben , then a chance less 80 from Pope 😂

I've not gone to bed yet. I'll catch the first session and go up at 6am. The challenge is to be up again at 3pm for safc game 🤷‍♂️ :p
