Odd, we just spent the last 2 years building to this series only to lose 2 quicks, not trust our spinner and have 0 openers in form....
Why would we plan for 4 years when we cant even plan for our next series

Well this is it. If we had four or five young seam bowlers looking the part fair enough, but whos progress is Anderson blocking? Vaughan is a gobshite.

Even if we did, play them ahead of Woakes or Robinson or Broad.

I assume its just him trying to raise controversy again
 
We have never completed a 5 match series with less than 4 ever present players. So if any of Hameed, Root, Malan or Stokes don't play (along with Buttler, obvs) we will break another record.

Billings for Buttler at 7
Bairstow a serious doubt, to be replaced by Pope if not available

When Stokes can’t bowl I have some sympathy and can understand the 4 quicks rather than Leach.

If those changes happen that team looks shocking mind :lol:

Aye its a poor selection.

I think in general certain players at too cosy in the media like too. A of pundits on Sky criticise Root for performances and samey bowlers but are never actually prepared to say who they wouldn't play if you notice

There is a strong argument Woakes should not even be on the tour

goood cricketer at home but he has played in a lot of tests abroad and his record is apalling

I like Robinson but I’ve been a bit underwhelmed by him since that first test. His returning spells are like something a batting all rounder would come in and bowl.

Our reluctance to pick our best players at times just baffles me. If Broad and Anderson are fit then they play.
