Are you in yet ?I’ve arrived early and I’m lining up at my turnstile. I’ve got a flask of tea (very strong) and some pickled pork belly sandwiches and a creamy jam donut with chocolate sprinkles.
Just been reading an article in a national newspaper stating that the Championship is the eight-best attended league averaging almost 20,000 spectators per game last season and that Sunderland had a higher average attendance last season than all but three French top-flight clubs, four in Spain and five in Italy.
Well the question should be to any of those clubs especially the biggest ones.
Let’s just say in the next 60 years you were relegated on 10 separate occasions including 2 relegations to the 3rd tier one lasting 4 seasons.
In that time you broke the record low points total for the Premiership twice and struggled constantly fighting against relegation and the highest you finished was 10th.
What do you think your attendances would be after all that time?
Ooof!Well the question should be to any of those clubs especially the biggest ones.

Some of the centre blocks in PC looked half full from my vantage point in the stadium, I'm presuming they were hospitality blocks because either side blocks were full.P10, P11 & P4 must have been full
