Attendance Thread - Ipswich Town

There is a 4 seat wide "firebreak" between the Family Zone and the Singing section it runs from Row 1 to the back, so about 150 seats.
The front row across the whole South Stand, so about 100 seats
There are also various seats blanked out in the singing section, this is believed to be to prevent overcrowding caused by migration into that area from elsewhere. This is a few hundred seats.

@CARLOS CLASS

Main Bowl 500, as described by Hetton above.

Upstairs relates to the fact that the Tracker works on full Blocks (no half measures). Some (not many) random seats Blocks P4, P10 and P11 appeared on sale on Friday, but it is likely that not all of those 3 Blocks have actually been put on sale. P4,10,11 total 1,086 seats we (I) are assuming that 786 have been sold, but 300 haven't.

First match of the season, so learning curve.
We'll have a better handle on things after this afternoon.
Over 43k confirmed by the club.
Have you got a source for that Diamond?

I received an email from the club advising to get their early as over 43k expected. I expect he received the same

Club email that was sent yesterday to encourage people to arrive early etc.

"Supporters are encouraged to arrive early at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, with over 43,000 fans expected to attend our opening fixture versus Ipswich Town."

Said on club website yesterday when urging fans to arrive early

Arsenal Everton ( with bigger capacity ) Liverpool Man City Man Utd Newcastle Tottenham West Ham and possibly Chelsea if they had a bigger capacity.
Boro got 29000 yesterday .. what have they done recently? Surely the clubs above would all get at least 11000 more than them.

You can cross out all the London clubs.
Tourists won’t pay to watch championship or 3rd tier
Cross out Man City , they got 27k 3rd tier

Liverpool, Mags , Man Utd maybe
Everton not so sure. First season or 2 outside top flight maybe, but a double relegation then 4 years in Div 3 , I would have my doubts

Couldn’t care less about the ticket office and club shop like, I’ve got no doubt that’ll come. KLD hasn’t been here 5 minutes yet he’s completely transformed the playing squad, the brand of football, the scouting and academy system and we have top people in key positions.

We needed to get it right on the pitch. Essentially it’s all that matters. He’s took us from bobbing around in league one to competing in the championship in 2 seasons. I’m sure the “offield” stuff will get sorted.
The offield stuff is far easier to sort which makes it more frustrating. It’s actually worse now than when the chuckle brothers were running it.

Well the question should be to any of those clubs especially the biggest ones.
Let’s just say in the next 60 years you were relegated on 10 separate occasions including 2 relegations to the 3rd tier one lasting 4 seasons.
In that time you broke the record low points total for the Premiership twice and struggled constantly fighting against relegation and the highest you finished was 10th.
What do you think your attendances would be after all that time?

Love people thinking it’s easy to run a retail and ticket operation. People with zero experience posting on a board saying it’s far easier to run that side of the business to the football side.
