Attendance Thread - Ipswich Town

Outstanding support . Looking forward to it , Couple in the town , well 6 a bit scran, shout myself horse . Never looked forward to a season as much for years . Ha way the lads
Spare a thought for those of us ( 100’s according to social media ) , who can’t go , because the season tickets have never arrived.Paid for in April and treated like shit in August.

A decent Premier League Sunderland team, nowadays where the sport is at an all time high, could easily average 55,000 at least.

If we're in the top 3-4 come Christmas and in good form then after the top up from part season tickets we could realistically be pushing for a sell out for most games in the latter half of the season. Get things right on the pitch and we're going to end up with a really high average attendance this season.

Behind the goal the away fans were in the corner of back in them days
The away fans were behind the goal on the south stand. The se corner was a family area, as thats where my children and I sat, when the ground first opened. The sw corner, housed the crazy gang.

The area you refer to is the away support.

This was one of the reason givens for moving the away support to the upper north stand.

You don’t think we could bring in another 7-10k if we were challenging top 8?
no i dont not every week ! we have never been consistantly been near full capacity (allowing for away support) and im not sure what our practical true capacity is ?i know its not the 49,000 often stated and its probably (since away support in n upper)around the 47000 mark ..I really think iptv has taken its effect on supporter numbers actually wanting to go to matches. We are never going to be challenging for a top ten spot on a consistent basis with our present owners so no ...The price of building (50 -80 million would be my guess to extent south stand )work and the revenue made from 7-8 ,0000 supporters is not enough for our owners to expand the ground they will simply put up season ticket prices and make more money from that with no outlay.
