Bell running straight down the middle of the wicket every chance he gets

Beefy criticizing Strauss earlier for batting too long in the West Indies series we lost. Not that Straussy cottoned on to it

Well done Root but what was that from Agar

Anyone know what was tweeted and deleted by CA?

The on-field umpires called for the third umpire Tony Hill to adjudicate and he controversially decided there was too much uncertainty to award the catch.

Soon after, a crudely-phrased tweet appeared on CA’s official feed, reading: “That decision sucked ass #bull****”.

It was swiftly removed by CA’s media team at Lord’s, and an investigation has been launched.

Hardly offensive

I know 2 wrongs don't make a right but remember all these decisions Australia used to get when they destroyed England in ashes by aggressive appealing?

They won plenty of dodgy appeals back in the day

I still don't think their was enough evidence to overturn imo.

Nasser is spot on there mind. The umpire should make the decision then the side opposing the decision can then use DRS to appeal.

England are good but fuck me therye boring

Get on with it ffs

The caution seems a bit pointless now.

Even if they did't get another run they'd be overwhelming favourites from this position.

The batsmen at the crease are not under any threat for their place and have both got hundreds in this match so can surely afford to just stat playing shots until they get out.

I think if they'd appealed properly and acted like they believed it was out it may have helped their case

thats the thing. The point of referring it is to get evidence that their is enough doubt to overturn the decision.

If they had appealed more and the umpire gave it out it would have stood.

They're playing shots and playing sensibly in equal measure, can't see what's wrong.

A rare chance to play with complete freedom under no pressure whatsoever and have a bit of fun.

Though I'm enjoying watching the Aussies being ground into the dirt

Well done Joe Root, first of many tons as an opener I reckon.

Nice change of tempo here after tea.

Agar getting picked off here, as Ive said, im delighted they picked him ahead of Lyon.

Aye I suppose just been spoilt so far with wickets tumbling, flashing shots and controversy this series so far, just feels a bit dull that it is a normal day of test cricket.

Finally getting some proper cricket ;-)

Yeah, what would Strauss know? Not like he was a successful captain.

Erm, he was a captain of a top class side, not a top class captain.

Cannot for the life of me understand why Lyons didn't start the first test, never mind this one. Decent cricketer.

Well done Bell. Quick fire next 50 off 30 for 4 consecutive 100's against the dirge ?
