That's why Neil has to leave.

He needs to be playing with those type of players on a regular basis, if he wants to make it to the top.

He has to be playing and impressing at the level above at least quite soon. He’s 20 now, to play at the highest level he can’t be pissing about down here. If, as others are suggesting he’s England material, he needs Premier League football ASAP.

Thought Pepe fell over his own feet for their first mind. There was more contact on Stewart in the box, although neither should be fouls. Either way you'd want his linesman to help him out there. So far removed from the standard we've had in League One.
Thought Pepe was clipped rather than Stewart who dangled a leg out and hoped for contact. Both soft as you say.

A million miles away from the level we see every week

I think Dan Neil is a good player. He showed a couple of good moments tonight but found it very hard against two other young midfielders.

You’re point is a complete misrepresentation of what I’ve said.
If he'd been playing for them you could then compare. He's playing in a third division team. As I pointed in your pre-match post tonight meant very little. Whilst you suggested it would be some sort of marker to where he is in the standing.

Give Hume an excuse mind he has been injured, respect lads, broadhead going off was a massive loss. Haway the lads

Would have to watch it back (which I really can't be bothered to so I'll remain blissfully ignorant...)

The non penalty decision was very good, and I thought the game had a nice flow to it.

Now we have no cup distractions whatsoever, just 24 league matches. win 16/17, draw a few and we can finally get out of this division.

embarrassed on behalf of murdochs commentators for the 'I HAVE NO DOUBT THATS A PENALTY' response to an utterly obvious dive

Back to our own level over Christmas, players need to hold their heads up, no disgrace here, matched Arsenal the 1st half and played some decent football.

A couple of things that really stand out between our players and players at that level:

1. Their awareness and quick reactions to retain possession/win it back relentlessly.

2. They’re passing the ball to someone in the box, we are firing it across and hoping someone latches in to it.

Can’t fault the effort and the willingness to go and try to play. Concentrate on the league now.

Our lack of movement defensively when defending, playing statues

Proud. Been a long time since I’ve came out of a game feeling proud of the lads. Hume was terrible but other than that they grafted their arses off. Well done to all.

Worth remembering they had 4 or 5 players who are worth more than our entire club.
